The Legacy of a Vision: Levissi Han Since 1991

The story of Levissi Han began in 1991 with the vision of the late İbrahim Zafer Altaş, who founded the property with the aim of preserving the captivating spirit of Kayaköy and helping to pioneer tourism in the region. Proud to be one of the first tourism establishments in Kayaköy, we, his family—his brother and sister-in-law—continue to carry forward the precious legacy he entrusted to us with the same passion, care, and hospitality.

With deep respect for the historical heritage of our region and the memory of our founder, we bring together the warmth of traditional inn culture with the name “Levissi,” the ancient Greek name of Kayaköy, which we proudly preserve as our registered trademark.

We stayed at Levissi Han for a total of three nights and were truly very pleased. The hotel was spotless, beautiful, and had a wonderful historic atmosphere. There were many museum pieces inside, and they took the time to show and explain each one to us individually. The best part, however, was the sincerity and hospitality of the owners. After our first two nights, when we wanted to stay one more day, all the rooms were already full, yet they arranged one of their 1+1 rental houses for us and once again hosted us wonderfully. Thank you so much for everything. If we ever come this way again, we would stay here again without a second thought.
